How to Customize a Report
The ALGOR Report Wizard, which can be accessed from Superdraw, the FEA Editor environment,
the Superview IV Results environment or within the Report environment, can be used to automatically generate an
HTML-based report of your analysis input and results. You can customize the ALGOR Report Wizard to change
the logo, icons, font, background color and other parameters. Figure 1 shows an example of a customized
report.

When you use the ALGOR Report Wizard to generate a report,
the files listed in Table 1 are created in the \modelname_rpt folder, where
all report files are located. These files can be modified to customize a
report.

To modify a report, use the following procedure:
- Use the ALGOR Report Wizard to create a report.
- In the \modelname_rpt folder, replace any of the graphic image files
listed in Table 1. Edit the alg_rpt.css file with any text editing program to modify parameter values
such as:
- paragraphs
- tables
- columns
- the table of contents tree
- background color
- margins
- font and font color
For more information about how to edit the alg_rpt.css file, refer to the
"ALGOR Report Wizard Customization" section of the ALGOR User's Guide.
- If you want your customized images and settings to be used in any
subsequent reports, then copy any modified files to the folder where your ALGOR software
is located.
If you want your company logo to appear on reports, the ALGOR Report Wizard has a convenient, built-in feature
that works as follows:
- Create and save a graphic image file of your company logo.
- On the "Algor HTML Reporting - Step 5" screen, in the "Display Options" section,
click on the "Use a custom logo image" option to activate it (i.e., make sure the box to the left is checkmarked).
Then, in the "File location" field, specify the location of your logo image file. (See Figure 2.)

To remove customizations and restore the default report settings, delete any custom files from
the ALGOR installation folder. Then, the next time the ALGOR Report Wizard
is used to generate a report, the default report format will be used.
