A collaborative project with the University of Alberta examined the effects of resonance on a piezoelectric micropump. Firstly, linear dynamic analysis determined the natural frequencies. Then, stress levels were obtained by resonating the micropump at its first natural frequency using Mechanical Event Simulation.
