ENGINEERS EXPERIENCE INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY WITH ALGOR V14.3

New result evaluation and presentation options featured in ALGOR V14.3 include the ability to display undisplaced models using transparency (top), built-in, virtual instrumentation through an all-new Monitor for time-dependent result plots (lower left), the ability to define result probes at desired locations (lower right) and annotations to highlight the location of minimum and maximum results (lower right).

PITTSBURGH, PA – May 19, 2004 – ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, announced that its users are reporting increased productivity with ALGOR V14.3, the company's latest FEA software release. ALGOR V14.3 features additional result evaluation and presentation options; an all-new, fast, iterative solver; new analysis capabilities for Mechanical Event Simulation (MES), electrostatics and heat transfer; and much more.

"The new results evaluation and presentation options in ALGOR V14.3, including the new Monitor capability, have already saved me time during the iterative design process," said Tammy Gardiner of Metallurgical & Materials Technologies, Inc., a failure analysis and material testing consulting firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "The integrated Monitor is very intuitive and has enabled me to click on a point in the model and immediately see a graph of results so that I can quickly identify changes for my next Mechanical Event Simulation iteration. Also, the automatic annotation of minimum and maximum values is a real time-saver."

"The continuing development of the ALGOR FEMPRO interface has made it faster and easier for me to set up and perform structural analyses," said Erick Liebl of Jasper Tank, a manufacturer in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada that specializes in custom tanks for the transportation industry. "I appreciate that ALGOR has embraced the user-friendly Windows interface style that I am accustomed to. Working within a familiar environment enables me to spend less time learning the interface and more time performing analyses."

"In keeping with our customer-driven product development approach, ALGOR is pleased to offer engineers capabilities that are proving to help them be more productive, including significantly faster solvers and additional results evaluation and presentation options," said ALGOR Product Manager Bob Williams. "Accelerating the design process helps these engineers speed up time to market and make better, safer products at a lower cost."
