MatWeb
Provides Over 50,000 Materials to ALGOR Users
ALGOR announced that its
software users can now effortlessly import material properties from a
growing collection of over 50,000 material data sheets through an
enhanced partnership with online information provider MatWeb. ALGOR
users can access MatWebs Premium Services to export technical data
sheets directly into an ALGOR material library.
With just a
few clicks, the data can be transferredfast and accurately.
The
appropriate property values as well as units are automatically
exported into an XML file, which can then be opened in ALGOR. Premium
MatWeb users can create up to five material folders, with up to twenty
data sheets in each folder.
"We're excited
to partner with ALGOR to provide this increased level of service,"
said Dale O. Kipp, Director of MatWeb. "It is a logical extension of
MatWeb's capabilities as a broad technical data resource. Engineers
and designers now have access to over 50,000 data sheets so they can
get property data on the exact materials they need rather than a
generic overview. This information is then quickly downloaded into
their ALGOR software without the hassles and potential errors caused
by manual data entry."
"We
are pleased to provide our users with this enhanced access to an
industry-leading resource for material property data. Using MatWeb's
Premium Services, ALGOR users now have direct access to an extensive
collection of materials, allowing our users to easily apply properties
for materials ranging from AISI Steel to Zirconium. Being able to
specify materials precisely greatly enhances the accuracy of
analyses, said ALGOR Product Manager Bob Williams.
